The Writing and Learning Studio has Summer Hours

Hi all,

As your first paper is coming due in a few days, you might be wondering if there’s someplace where you could go to get some help polishing it up. Well, if you are near campus, yes, The Writing and Learning Studio has summer hours.

Here’s the note I received about its summer services:

Dear English and Humanities folk:

A reminder that help is always offered to those who ask at TWLS.

The Writing & Learning Center is located on the 3rd floor of the library. This summer, we are open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 - 3:30, offering help with all stages writing, from brainstorming, drafting, revising, to final edits; plagiarism prevention and proper citations; as well as help with reading and interpreting assignments. We can cover all forms of writing, from simple paragraphs, through the various forms of rhetorical essays, to large research papers. We can also help with personal statements and resume writing. We can cover such small but necessary concerns as grammar, punctuation, and word choice, to the the higher order concerns of structure and format, to discussion of content and big ideas, depending on the needs of your students.

However, we are NOT an editing service; our focus is on scaffolding your students' writing, not doing it for them.
